Meet Lisa C. Holder, PhD, LPC

Dr. Holder has been happily married for over 39 years. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1997 from the warm southern state of Tennessee; just in time for one of the biggest October blizzards to hit the city, bringing with it five feet of snow. Since Dr. Holder's father was a military officer, she lived all over the world and United States while growing up. Her father's side of the family is from Tennessee, while her mother's side is from Florida. As a young person, Dr. Holder had a passion for helping others work through their problems, and this has carried over into her adult life. Another passion she has enjoyed is breeding Persian kittens; she and her husband have spent many years doing so.

She has been in the psychotherapy field for over 25 years and is highly educated as a professional counselor. Along with a life-long effort to learn about human behavior and relationships, Dr. Holder holds a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas, as well as Licensed Professional Mental Health provider in Tennessee. Dr. Holder is also Certified in many different Specialty areas. Background & Credentials

Dr. Holder has been in private practice in Colorado Springs since 1997. Her therapeutic focus includes Marriage & Family therapy, Relationship issues, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Abuse, Addiction issues and Psycho-physiology therapies such Somatic Therapy and EMDR. She particularly enjoys working to bring families or couples together by overcoming ongoing issues and difficulties. Strong marriages create happy, well-adjusted children and families. Dr. Holder also enjoys helping individuals achieve their personal goals and overcome personal life challenges. She treats individuals, couples, teenagers, and children, as well as entire families undergoing stress, divorce or transition.
